In the case of some commissions, usually those with a large amount of detail in the manner of costuming, background, and/or various other random aspects of the image, additional charges will be made. Additional prices will not exceed $20.00 for any type of commission, and the buyer will be notified of these excess charges before proper sketching begins.
In the case of commissions that are to be used for some other commercial means--t-shirts, buttons, et cetera--a further surcharge will be added for the purchase of the rights to market said piece. This charge varies depending on the media on which it is being marketed, the timespan for which it will be marketed, and the amount of marketing to be done. For instance, an image used on a limited edition run of t-shirts would have a lower licensing fee than that of an unlimited run. In some cases--book illustrations, graphic novel work, original character design, et cetera--there may also be a royalty rate requested. Again, the buyer will be notified of the full amount of upfront payment and the requested royalty rate (if applicable) prior to the start of the commission.

Pyments are currently accepted via PayPal or via snail-mail in the form of cash, check, or money order.

When the matter of the commission itself is settled, I will send you a summary of what's expected of me and of you--basically, a simple contract stating that I'll draw something for you and you intend to pay me for it. I will start on the image as soon as I receive acceptance confirmation of this contract, but it will not be sent or colored--if it is a colored image requested--until the required level of payment has been received; at this point a watermarked sketch or lineart will be sent to you for approval.
If it's a sketch, you are allowed to request one redo, although I would greatly prefer you didn't. (Artistic license, personal preference and all that.) I will accept a total of three minor revision requests at the lineart level. At the base-colored level you're permitted to request whatever color shifts you would like, but please don't tell me to change everything at the last minute. (If you have more than five color revision requests, I'll more than likely ask you to assemble and send me a colorkey.) Upon completion you will be emailed a low-res watermarked copy for approval.
For commissions priced over $30, the other 50% of your payment will be requested upon completion of the commission; upon arrival of payment a full-size 300dpi PNG file will be mailed to you. For commissions priced under $30, the full-res image will be sent upon approval.
Also, I am not providing prints; just digital copies. I've found that the local print shop makes more bungles than it does anything decent, and the USPS is sadly lacking in their punctuality. These prices are for digital work only.
In the case of Silhouette Commissions, there is a limit of 4 colors to be used, not counting fluctuations caused by patterning. These colors are customarily left up to the artist--and usually follow the pattern of 1. Hair, 2. Tattoos/Scars, 3. Jewelry, 4. Background--but if there is some specific element you want colored over another, feel free to let me know and I'll shuffle things around. I want you to be as happy with your purchase as possible.
